What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental Health First Aid is the same as Physical First Aid. It is the “First” response a person can give to someone who is experiencing a mental health episode or crisis, until appropriate professional help can be arranged, or the crisis resolves.

All courses are accredited by Mental Health First Aid Australia and provide participants with formal accreditation valid for 3 years, just like a Senior First Aid certificate. The courses below are based on international guidelines developed through expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems along with mental health professionals.

All our training and workshops are held at Next Gen in Kings Park or Telethon Speech and Hearing in Wembley, or can be done on site at your organisation. Courses do have a minimum participant requirement to meet Mental Health First Aid Australia’s guidelines. For workplaces or larger groups, a group price and program can be tailored to your individual needs.

Something for your workplace?

Training and workshops can be tailored to your organisation. If you are considering Holotropic Breathwork®, we will discuss your needs and circumstances with you before a place in the workshop is confirmed.
